We are so excited to meet you and your baby!
Hi, I’m Marnie!
I am a wife and mother of 5 young men, who has had 5 very different, some very difficult births.
My passion is to accompany couples along in their season of pregnancy and support them in creating the birth story they desire. I am able to draw on my knowledge and experience to provide emotional and physical support as well as being your cheerleader and advocate. I'll help you make informed choices, help your spouse prepare for his role, and give you the tools to approach birth as a beautiful experience and if you want, we'll invite God into the moments.
I am available to travel to your Vancouver Island home and will support you in your home birth or hospital birth.

Hi, I’m Amanda!
I am a wife and homeschooling mother to 4 beautiful children! After the birth of my youngest I discovered the joy of accompanying others through their birth and postpartum experiences, and the need that we all have to be supported in our most vulnerable moments.
My goal is to ensure families feel empowered with their options, and offer any guidance they need along the way. I desire to provide consistent loving support to each families’ individual needs; in a way the best reflects their family practices and expectations. I strive to ensure everyone I see feels loved, seen, known and heard.
I love connecting with new parents and preparing them for pregnancy, birth and the postpartum season through utilizing body balancing techniques, along with education and information based decision making.
We are so excited to have Amanda be apart of the Culture of Life team, alongside Marnie as a birth and postpartum doula. Amanda will be supporting Nanaimo to Tofino, including Parksville, and Port Alberni.

Hi, I’m Drew!
I am a mother to two little girls, an elementary education teacher, and a postpartum doula and I'm here to help you along your journey through the fourth trimester.
I have called Vancouver Island my home for my entire life, and have chosen to raise my two children with my husband here as well. I became an elementary education teacher at the University of Victoria, and have greatly benefited from the teaching community. As we started having our children, my passion for teaching children has expanded to include providing support to new moms in their postpartum season. I love a strong cup of earl grey tea, and the smell of a bonfire in the fall, and will forever cherish the memory of the birth of my children.
As a postpartum doula, my intention is to meet the needs of newborns and their families after delivery. My desire is to provide you with evidence-based information, and hands-on support to help every member of the family adjust to their newest addition.
I am currently not accepting new clients with the intention to focus on postpartum advocacy projects, and my own young family. I am happy to answer questions or chat in a casual setting if you need anything!
