As your birth doula's we will work with you to plan for and support the birth that you've been dreaming about. 

We will accompany you through this life-changing experience, striving to create a healthy, happy and grace-filled family. 

  • We will meet with you twice before your birth to help you dream about your ideal birth, get to know you and your partner and answer any questions you might have before your birth.
  • Provide different solutions or positions that can help you to find a comfortable position to try and get some sleep toward the end of pregnancy
  • Follow up after your doctor or midwife appointments, and discuss any new information and how it plays into your labor plan
  • Share referrals on the best prenatal yoga classes, birth classes and other professional services
  • Assist with helping you decide between a home or hospital birth
  • Talk to you when your contractions start to help you determine if labour is starting or if you are experience Braxton-Hicks contractions
  • Suggest different ideas throughout labour to help it progress and help you to be the most comfortable you possibly can
  • Keep the environment and everyone around you calm
  •  Make sure that lights are turned down, or off, door is shut and curtains are pulled every time someone comes in or out of your room
  • Rub your back during labour and/or provide other pre-determined ways to help you relax
  • Remind you of your preferences for labour when it starts to get extra challenging
  • Support you and your partner in getting whatever you need
  •  Help you to get your baby to latch on in the first hour, and learn how to nurse
  • Come to your home 2 times after giving birth to debrief your birth experience and answer any postpartum questions you may have 
  • Write your birth story with you​
